Chapter 2 Defeated

|| DANICA GRIMSLEY's POV ||

" The Last One...Danica..Wait..."

King Konrad's Beta shot me a suspicious look, his brows knitting together. He didn't expect me to join the trial. As King Konrad's favorite, everyone expected me to stay under his wing at all times. I saw the sharp gaze, coming from King Konrad. It was undeniable that he didn't want me here too but revenge was above everything for me.

I went forward to bow at the king, said word by word nervously,

" I want to show my gratitude to the king by becoming his spy for King Cassius."

The other slaves gasped in shock, probably wondering why I decided to choose a troublesome life. But I was more scared of King Konrad. He craved my body but I craved revenge.

After a dead silence, King Konrad opened his mouth, sitting on the throne,

" You know what you're saying, Danica? Do you know anything about survival as a slave there? You aren't going to be worshipped there like here."

I replied politely, keeping my head down,

" I will do my best, My King. I have always wanted to show my gratitude..and..this is the only way that I can do something for you."

King Konrad's eyes melted, wavered by my fake words but it was beneficial for me. He stood up gradually, asked while stepping down from his throne,

" Tell me, first! Which poison will you use to kill a Lycan in case you encounter anything bad there?"

My heart rose up in hopes, knowing that he had already approved my leave my own time to answer his question, digging up all the information that I had read over the years. After a while, I answered with a victorious smile,

" None! Lycans can absorb poison. They won't be killed by poisons."

The beta including King Konrad were all shocked, impressed by my answer as it wasn't known by commoners. One had to read a lot about Lycans to know the tricks and hints. As I waited for the final result, King Konrad announced to the crowd, waving his hands to dismiss them,

" Danica will go there to work as my spy. The rest of you may go now."

I pressed my lips together to stop the smile. The years of waiting were over finally. Only with King Cassius, could I reach my enemy. King Konrad ordered with a growl, his eyes trained on my body,

" Against the desk, Danica! I want your back."

I followed his order, stood against the desk, and raised my clothes up. King Konrad came behind me, yanked my hair back to spread my legs apart. With one swift movement, he was deep inside me. I let out a growl in pleasure, his tempo increasing in each moment. Tears of pleasure burnt my vision but my wolf liked his touch, so mesmerizing and addictive.

He kept saying between his growls, thrusting his hips deeper into my core,

" I am letting you go only because you are smart. But remember it, Danica! Even if you get fucked by Cassius one hundred times, you will always be mine. MINE!!! YOU BELONG TO ME!!"

The Lycan Kingdom's castle was much bigger than I expected. But I had to say that I didn't come here with an easy heart and mind. Before letting me come on this mission, King Konrad told me that he would never let me go and would always keep his eyes on my moves. From being his sex slave, I guessed that I had become his new possession.

I was sent to King Cassius's castle with the new batch of maids. It was my first task to climb onto his bed. I needed to seduce him but before that, I had to figure out what kind of person he was. I remembered Rora's words before coming here. I missed the little girl already.

" You are standing on a ladder, Princess. If King Cassius knows that you were sent by King Konrad, he will kill you. If King Konrad finds out that you went there to use King Cassius to use him for your own purpose, he will kill you too."

I snapped out of my thoughts as soon as a female voice roared at us like a beast,

" A new batch!! Remember slaves!! If you can impress the king with your dance today, you can be his sex slave. Which means one step of becoming the queen as long as you can give birth to a son for the king."

The other maids gasped in surprise, their eyes lighting up in greed. Everyone coveted the position of a queen but I had no aim for that. As long as King Cassius could help me get my kingdom back, I could do anything for him.

Afterwards, the female head maid put some lingerie on me to send us to perform the dance for the king and his guests. I put on my best look today. Wavy hair, painted lips, and red lingerie made me look more enchanting today. I sprayed some sweet fragrance on myself in case King Cassius took notice of me.

However, as soon as we went to the entrance, my jaw clenched hard to see the person on the guest list.

DUNCAN!!!

The only enemy of mine!! The killer of my whole family!!

The hatred felt much stronger than ever, my wolf pushing to come out. My wolf wanted to rip his head apart right away but I knew that it would only make me die faster than before.

I let my eyes wander around, and finally saw the bonded wolves in the distance. Every guest came with their pet wolves today. I heard Duncan's voice from the hallway, sugarcoating the king just like he used to do to my father,

" King Cassius! I heard that King Konrad is being defeated by you and is currently hiding. Then what are you waiting for? Why don't you go

to claim his territory? You deserve the ultimate position."
