Chapter 3 His Mouth Is Tough

Thalia was reeling from the sudden turn of events. She shot a frustrated look at William. "I might as well eat dirt."

William still had to be invited. If Chase ended up with most of the inheritance, she'd dig Hayden out of his grave with a knife.

William's chest shook slightly, trying to stifle a laugh.

He nodded seriously, "Ms. Smith, if you're that interested, I can reluctantly provide the raw materials."

"But..." William's tone shifted, "Since when did you become my girlfriend ?"

"Just now," Thalia replied, awkwardly.

William let out a cold chuckle.

"I have a meeting, Ms. Smith." William hesitated, clearly wanting Thalia to leave.

"I won't bother you anymore, Mr. Brown. Here's my number. Call me if you change your mind." Thalia left after speaking.

Half an hour later, William entered the conference room and saw everyone handing out coffee.

Assistant Finn was distributing it while announcing, "Coffee from Mr. Brown's girlfriend!"

"Our Mr. Brown's girlfriend is the top star in the entertainment industry, Thalia."

"Where did Walter go?"

"Lumaria."

"Give me the address. I have to go kill him."

Cheating and making Hayden so angry that he collapsed, then running away? She couldn't let that slide.

Layla Scott glanced at Thalia, "Your most urgent task is to secure your dad's inheritance, not to mess with an idiot like Walter."

"Aren't you worried you won't get your dad's inheritance, and Walter will come back with money to crush you?"

Thalia was fuming.

"What are you thinking?" Layla asked after a while of silence.

"Thinking about drinking," Thalia sighed.

Layla glared at her, "Fine, go drink! Then get drunk again and end up in William's bed."

Thalia sighed, "Forget it, I'll go home and drink coffee!"

Layla shot her a sideways look, "You think you're so tough."

Back at the villa, Thalia had just come out of the shower when Grace called.

"How'd it go?"

"Just okay," Thalia replied.

"Are you ready to take me out to beg on the streets? Chase is practically glued to your dad now. I don't expect miracles, but you should be realistic and prepared. I heard Chase went to see William today too?"

"You don't know how difficult William is."

"Try flirting, seduction, can't you learn?"

Thalia was speechless, "Stop reading romance novels. At your age, do you think they can teach you how to secure inheritance?"

Grace was silent for a moment, "True, not realistic. Come keep vigil! If your dad wakes up and sees you first, he might soften and make a verbal will or something."

Thalia thought about it; keeping watch over a dying person seemed worse than dealing with a living one.

"I'll go handle William right away."

Forty minutes later, Thalia, wearing a cap, showed up at the upscale Emerald City golf course.

On the course, Daniel Wilson stood aside, watching William swing shot after shot, his stance steady and unwavering.

"Emerald City is buzzing that you're involved with a top star from the entertainment industry?"

William set up his stance to take a shot. "What's involved?"

"Means you've done everything you should and shouldn't." Daniel and William had grown up together, knowing each other like the back of their hands.

William, the reserved type, never spoke his mind.

Seeing him silent, Daniel clicked his tongue, "Of all people, you got involved with Thalia? You're gonna regret it."

"Thalia, thinking she's got some skills, has always been proud and arrogant."

William remained unfazed, taking his shot, "Admitting a woman has skills isn't shameful."

Thalia was exceptional; they'd known that since childhood.

A top student, good-looking, emotionally intelligent, multi-talented, able to resolve conflicts with a few words, inheriting her father's emotional intelligence.

"But her skills should be used for the right path..."

"Ever heard the saying: Talking bad about people behind their backs will make your tongue rot?"

Daniel turned around to see Thalia standing behind them, arms crossed, wearing a baseball cap.

"Who said that?"

"None of your business," Thalia snapped back.

She pushed Daniel aside and walked towards William, "Didn't expect you to recognize my strengths, Mr. Brown!"

"Your strengths are as obvious as Beck's," William said calmly.

As soon as he finished, Daniel couldn't help laughing and told Thalia, "Beck is William's dog."

Thalia was furious.

She took off her cap and ruffled her hair, "Mr. Brown, your mouth is tougher than your genitals."

Daniel was stunned.

William was speechless.

He laughed, first in surprise, thinking he'd misheard.

Such crude words coming from a top star in the entertainment industry were indeed surprising.

"Ms. Smith, don't you like it?"

"Like it!" Thalia ruffled her hair.

"But Mr. Brown, tough genitals or not, they can't be small!"

William dropped his club, pinning Thalia against the wall by her waist, "Say that again."

Thalia tilted her head, blinking innocently, "Say what?"

"Thalia..." William gritted his teeth.

"What?"

Thalia's soft hands landed on William's waist, gently caressing, lifting his shirt hem to slip inside, only to be grabbed by William.

William's restrained gaze fell on her face.

William's breath was uneven.

Even without makeup, Thalia's beauty was undeniable, her unadorned features exuding countless charms.

Thalia's every glance and movement was seductive.

Thalia pulled out one hand, touching his Adam's apple, smiling faintly, "Mr. Brown, I like men with tough mouths."

Daniel was shocked. Was this still the Thalia he knew?

What had William done to make Thalia lower herself?

"Should I leave?"

Thalia, hearing Daniel's mood-killing comment, clicked her tongue in displeasure, "Mr. Wilson, with your intelligence, if the Wilson family can afford it, I suggest having another child."

"You..."

"Get lost."

Before Daniel could retort, William spoke first.

Daniel thought, 'These two villains are teaming up.'

William's hand gripped her waist, the force almost crushing her, "You think this will make me take your case?"

"I'm trying my best, Mr. Brown. If you don't like this method, I can try another?"

"Which one? I want to see a striptease. Will you dance?"
