Chapter 7 CHAPTER 7
SERA'S POV
The walls of the castle shook, the ground quaking as I ran, blood rushing through my veins.
My heart pounded violently, like it wanted to jump out, the bite mark in my neck pulsing, matching the thunderous beat.
Dante’s screams reach me, his warning ringing loud in my head yet, as I got to the East Wing, turning around the final corner.
The entire hallway is filled with servants, male and female. They looked away as they saw me, but I could practically smell how they felt from here.
Fear.
“Where is he?” I asked, walking to a man.
He doesn't reply, just pointing towards the large black doors I ran out of yesterday. I straightened my back, keeping my spine straight and pushed the door open.
The room was darker than last night. I blinked twice, my eyes adjusting to the darkness. Loud roars shook the room, as I crept slowly, heading to where he was.
Caspian was walking in the room, thrashing his pillows, his lips open, screaming a language I couldn't recognize.
His fingers were longer, sharper than I remembered and his body shook with so much force, I was shocked he was still on feet.
“Caspian?” I whispered carefully, my footsteps light. “Caspian, can you talk to me?”
He turned his head slowly, and suddenly, I went still.
Black veins crept along his skin, tracing up his hands till they bulged at his eyes. His usually dark eyes were bloodshot red, his mouth opened and his fangs stretched down.
“Caspian?”
He stopped in his tracks, his head still low. “Caspian are you there?”
The mad king lifted his eyes, black pools locking with mine. My body tingled in response, a low desire cooling in my stomach, my heart beat increasing.
“Can you please calm—”
What? Where did he go?
I gasped as he suddenly stood behind me, his breath at my neck. Shit, I thought, trying to move fast. I shouldn't have come here, I should have listened to Dante.
Caspian sinks his teeth into me.
“Ugh,” I groaned, standing still. I heard the servants outside shriek, but it sounded like it was so far away, as he continued drinking my blood, low groans escaping his chest.
Each pull of my blood up my neck makes my eyes roll back till I close them, submitting my body entirely to him. One of his hands wrapped around my waist, while the other was holding me by my neck, those claws so dangerously close I could feel the sharpness of it.
My thighs become heavier and the feeling in-between my legs grows hotter, my nipples erect, brushing against the material of my gown, even as he still drank, his hands raving up and down my body like he did not have enough.
Suddenly, I heard a single voice in my head.
“More.”
“You want more,” I breathed, my body aching for him to slip his hand just a little bit higher. "His body was so hot against mine, his mind a torment yet, I felt like I could hear and feel everything he was going through suddenly.
“You're okay, Caspian,” I muttered, my eyes still closed, pleasure still coursing through my veins. He doesn't stop drinking, taking small gulps that seem to gurgle in his throat. “Everything will be okay.”
His hands finally came up, one big hand covering my breasts. “Oh fuck,” I groaned, as he found a nipple through the cloth. “The door is open, Caspian, they're watching…”
He slowly removed his fangs from my neck, that hand still circling the sweet point he had found. I opened my eyes and stared into his, the black pools much calmer, his fangs coated in silver blood, his eyes scanning my face.
A dark look crossed his face. “Caspian—”
He blurred, faster than I had ever seen and locked the chamber doors. I took a cautious step backwards, the heat between my legs unfading, even as a soft breeze crossed the room and he was suddenly by my side again.
Shit.
Caspian’s tongue traces across my neck and an involuntary mewl escaped my lips. “Caspian please,” I breathed.
What are you doing Sera? The words snapped me out of the high. I was alone in here, with a completely mad king and I was almost losing control of myself.
I took a step forward, and he shockingly didn't move. “I think we should catch our breaths, Caspian,” I said, my voice low and soft. “You should rest. You must be exhausted.”
The mad King's gaze darkened. “I feel fine.”
He didn't. The low thrumming of a predator in my chest did not belong to me. No, it was this man, and suddenly, all I could think of was getting out of here.
“Yes, I know you do, but it has been a stressful morning for you,” I replied sweetly. '“You should—”
“I can smell you.”
What?
“I can smell that you are wet,” he growled, his voice rough. “I can feel it, the way your body is screaming, begging for my touch. Why are you trying to resist me Sera?”
Sera. My name. It sounded like a warning coming from me, one I should heed. “I know but—”
“Feeding will never be boring again,” Caspian continued, like he could not hear me talk. Was he this tall last night? He had straightened to his full height, and even with the distance I put between us, my neck aches from just looking up.
“You want me,” he growled. “I can feel it. Do not deny it.”
Capsian blurred, his hand circling my neck as air escaped my lips, my back crashing against the wall. “Caspian,” I moaned as his teeth found my neck easily and he dug in again, all in a split second.
He lifted me with only one hand, so I circled my legs around his hips, his body pressed against mine as he drank greedily. My back arched off the wall, my eyes rolled back and I ground my center against his hard abs, soft moans escaping my lips as his free hands found my nipple again, circling the overly excited bud against my dress.
Fuck, why did this feel so good, I groaned internally, dry humping the mad king.
I opened my eyes and everything was blurry, my ears picking on the way my blood seemed to rush up to him. “That's okay,” I muttered weakly.
He doesn't stop.
“Caspian please, that's too much,” I cried out, trying to push him off me. I may as well be trying to move a ton of bricks because he doesn't budge, if possible his fangs dug in deeper.
Fuck, he's draining me.
What can I do? Think Sera, think. I needed to just give myself space, just enough so I can be free. His hand squeezed my breast tighter, like he was punishing me and I knew it would be covered in purple bruises tomorrow, even as my life force got drained by the vampire.
I freed my left foot, placing it between us. When I felt my chance, I rammed it up, hitting him in his tummy as I pushed him with the last of my strength, my consciousness almost slipping away.
Caspian’s fangs tear my neck open as he moves, a piece of my flesh ripping open. Blood spilled down my body but I don't think about it.
I raced for the door, barely getting it open when I felt that strong hand grab my neck, and then, the familiar pang of teeth being dug into my skin.
This time though, the only thing that floods me is pain.
“Help,” I cried out, my voice barely escaping the room. The servants have all left, but surely, there must be someone that stood close.
He was going to kill me.
“Help,” I shouted, the corners of my eyes going black. Caspian covered my body with his own, pinning me down, his hands roaming furiously, sucking at my neck, my blood staining my gown silver and the room finally started spinning.
This was it.
A single tear fell from my eyes. Elena, Forgive me.
There’s a slight chill in the air, and suddenly,Caspian’s body is lifted off mine. Everything was black now, the world growing smaller. Someone picked me up, the sounds of footsteps echoed across the chamber as I tried to blink, to look at who finally saved me.
“I shouldn't have stopped you earlier,” I heard the man say, his voice vibrating against my skin. Dante. Lucian’s voice reached my ears, but it was so far away.
I finally gave in to the darkness.
