I pushed open the door carrying the soup, only to find the bed empty.

Aurora was GONE.

The sheets were neatly folded. The nightstand was bare. Even her phone charger was missing.

My chest tightened.

"Nurse!" I grabbed a passing nurse. "The patient in Room 406—where is she?"
