    I honesty thought I would hate thus book. I'm not big on the idea of people being used as payment, but I decided to read it anyway. And am I glad I did! It's funny, sexy, very inventive, and I feel like the character growth was good. I am currently reading the second book in the series. The only thing that makes me a little.crazy is the author's need to have the characters shower every single.time they have sex. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't shower everytime. 😈

    so I really do enjoy the story, but it’s awkward given the fact that the physical relationship between the two is statutory rape in the US and no one in the story even mentions it or seems to be aware of it. I was trying to determine if perhaps the setting is in a different country such as the UK where the age of consent is younger, but the only clue on actual location seems to be when they talk about crossing state lines, which definitely feels like a US description.

    I don’t like her lack of concern towards human life. He killed a fourteen year old kid for having a crush and a drunk man without any real reason. The kid did nothing wrong and there are a lot of people who get drunk that do not deserve to die. I guess that behavior is expected from a vampire but why is she so okay with murder?
