    I am really enjoying this amazing story filled with very interesting and intriguing characters. I honestly don’t want it to end! I get excited every time I see an update! kind of feels like I am enjoying the ride along side of baset. I did find the erotic chapter with Sam and Val so I personally would enjoy a book with more of that kind of erotica. coming from my life living a D/s relationship with my husband it’s always wonderful for me when I get to read books with my kind of kink. But in the meantime I am dying to see what happens with Bast and her baby (can’t wait to see what abilities or powers the little cherub has).     I actually think Valerie is annoying, and it’s weird that they kicked their men out for two weeks. Bast is a little weird about her. She’s a good friend for not telling her business, but I do think she’s overbearing and I actually think Damien had a right to be pissed off. Oh and I definitely don’t think she should pick Sinclair. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I only read the available chapters on Readict so I still haven't gotten to read the whole thing, but so far, I think this book is good. I noticed the writer is a frequent replier to comments so I don't wish to offend and only offer a gentle review. The book is better written than most available through these channels. Though it's considered an erotica, it has a genuine story line that goes places. I found the movement of the story to be a tad confusing in that Bast's family dynamic is not fully explored and therefore doesn't give you a feel for why she wants them to live or why she would want to make a family of her own. I instantly felt irritated when it was brought up, especially since this is taking place in the modern age where sperm banks and fertility clinics do exist. Raising the child of a stranger can still be a huge strain, but it's not as though her options are severely limited. Her desire for her own family came out of the blue. The anatomy of a vampire was also quite confusing to me. There seemed to be no mention of venom until Bast met Sinclair so that was unexpected and out of place. Overall, I was most irritated with the way the two leads interacted. She treats him with fear at first and that quickly turns sexual without rythm. I understand that he's an old timer and we all know how boomers can be with new concepts, but honey, don't expect that amount of tolerance from a teenager. Ever. I'm 24 so as a recent teenager with VERY out of control hormones, so I get jumping his bones at the first available chance, but when he reacts like a child and she forgives, it feels out of place. I can't speak for every teen, but sexual repression and no emotional crutch outside of a friend she NEVER sees in person throughout the first half of the book, does not tend to add up to stable human being with a functioning personal life. Damien's theatrics are far too well received. BUT, once again, the book is fairly well written and the sex isn't too over the top despite the situations (nonhumans being considered). I only wish there had been more details in the personal lives of the characters. I am interested in finishing the book soon and look forward to the future writings of this author.

    Well, honestly it is a bit of a hard choice. Damien seems to love her, but does he love her because of her, or because she resembles his dead wife? Damien seems a bit too controlling, though he sacrificed for her for 18 years. As for Sinclair, he was locked up for 60 years so it is a miracle he kept sane. But does he want to keep Bast to get back at Damien, or does he want her because she makes him feel good and he believes he can be happy with her and make her happy in return? It seems Bast is undecided. Maybe the best choice for her would be to be on her own until she sorts out her thoughts, and decide if she wants to give up on all the things that she wanted.
