I wonder what Athena felt when she was grabbed by the Gamma. She has a reaction for a reason. It brings me joy that the mate bond has finally formed for her and Kane now that she has formally rejected Noah. I wonder still though now that she is closer to the throne and with a true mate if she will have bonded connections with others who will be part of her ruling council. I hope Damon and his wolf can fight off the vampire venom and he can return to normal. He has not had it easy and Athena would be devastated if her brother is lost to her. I understand Kane being wary and wanting to protect his pack, but I hope he realizes that Athena needs Damon close. Was so worried about how this was going to go moving forward, but I'm still glad with the direction the book is taking. Still would like to see a chapter or 2 from Noah's perspective to get an idea of what happened to him. How it lead to Athena justifiably rejecting him. Whether he ever truly took the mate bond seriously. Just closure in general.

Wow... ummm what can I say? First let me ask what exactly is Damon now and will he get through the changes? Now onto Noah. Seriously his behavior is now borderline insane. He has done so much wrong and used excuses for everything he has done. His ex, the fake pregnancy, his sister. Now he feels that he is entitled because he thinks it's his throne to take? He believes that Athena has no choice. Also how can he not care for his children after the tantrum he threw about his sister being left behind because he was raising her. The children are his and he brushes them off as though he never helped conceive them? What exactly is going on in that mind of his? How did he come to the conclusion that he gets to keep Athena and still do as he pleases? Just because she told him she needs her mate to ascend does not mean she would receive only one mate. He started the breaking of the bond and she finished it and hopefully Kane can be that mate now. I don't know what its going to take to get Noah to have a wake up call and take responsibility for his actions. I seriously can not believe he sees no issue with how he has acted and as Athena said he referred to them fixing the problem not him solely. Until he realizes where the problem lies he is a danger to everyone. Just wow.

Good for Athena taking that last step and rejecting Noah. So happy she is finding Kane to be her second chance. Was so worried that it was going to be the gamma. Wondering if there is a reason she was drawn to him. Maybe he will play a role when she finally ascends to her place on the throne, or maybe he is family lost to her. Would still like to see a few chapters from Noah's perspective for closure. I want to know what lead him to act shady from the start.

No.... Athena needs Kane. Kane needs Athena. I so do not want to find out that the Gamma is her mate. Venus even wants Kane. Please let there be a mistake. She has been through to much and has finally found someone who though uncertain temporarily has been helping her. Restoring her her faith. Protecting her. Kane has treated how she should have been treated all along.

I am so glad she was able to break her mate bond with Noah and get a second chance mate! Noah may have been attracted to her and interested in her power from the beginning but it’s clear after the last handful of chapters that he only stayed for the power and doesn’t love her. Kane is way better for her so far. He has been genuinely helpful with her ascension, has kept her in the loop and with or without sex he is respectful to her.

I want her and kane together he wants a strong partner an equal! noah never did he always put himself first. she tried but he has been pushing back sense the beginning. he clearly found someone else no surprise considering he never prioritized her first and had another while stringing her along in the beginning. Noah is not worthy! I hope kane is her second chance mate with the electric touch they had. she deserves to be happy they both feel somthing for eachother and clearly he is ok with her kids.

I'm glad that Kane and Athena are getting to know each other. He at least has a level head and gave her solid advice. I hope Athena does not have to go back to Noah. He just isn't right as a mate for her. His sister is his excuse to how he has treated his mate, but he has never treated her like he should had. The way he put his human partner first and catered to her lies about the pregnancy, the way he exploded when he found out his mate was pregnant and threw things in a rage, the way he blamed her for thinking of his sister and how all the traveling which could undoubtedly be dangerous and thought of keeping her safe, but he felt like it was wrong and started shutting his mate out, to how when he got to a pack he made her wait while he made himself seem to be the important one and taking her children like she was just a tool and he had no use for her anymore. Mate bonds are not supposed to be like that. So hopefully Athena can move on from that and Noah can let her go and do whatever he wants. Maybe even find his own happiness.
