So sorry for not updating for so long! I aprescieate all of the support y'all have shown, and I look forward to updating daily!"

Lunch was nice. Everyone joked, laughed, and had a good time. I was surprised with how easily Nina interacted with the pack members, and the fact that even though two mates' meeting had ended in disaster, it was still going to be celebrated. I was now on my way to the training grounds to see what training was like here. Everywhere I walked on the way to the training field I heard people whispering about how exciting it was about ‘Theo and Tess’ being mates. I had no clue or desire to find out who Theo and Tess were, but I had a feeling I would find out soon. It still amazed me how they would talk about how they were mates, but completely ignored how they found out.

I entered the training center only to find a group of people huddled together around a group. I strode over, curious to see what all of the commotion was about. When I was within earshot I heard cursing, and growling. On the right side there was a couple who looked spectacularly fit, while on the left was a somewhat scrawny guy. The female seemed to be holding the guy next to her back. It was easy to see they were mates by her hand on his chest. I began to wonder if these people were the imphamous Theo and Tess when the guy on the left charged at the couple. I was still blocked by people trying to make my way through the crowd when a blurred figure shot through the crowd to my left, and sent the wolf flying through the air. It only took a second for her scent to fill my nose before I knew who it was. Nina stood there looking powerful, and pissed off as she spoke.

“If you want to fight we take it to the pits. You all know the rules, no fighting in the training hall. Now Leo, if you have an issue with Theo and Tess I suggest we take it to the pit before someone gets hurt,” she says while helping the wolf off the floor. Suddenly the crowd begins to walk outside acting as if a direct order was just given. Out of curiosity I follow. We end up at a large round stage of sand. The muscular guy (Theo) Walks in taking off his shirt. The scrawny guy walks up being escorted by Nina who is whispering in his ear. I wonder what she is telling him when Theo gets a cocky grin on his face.

“Alpha no matter how much you coach him we all know what the outcome will be.” He speaks arrogantly. Nina just looks at him with an annoyed glance.

“Theo we all know you are one of the best, but being arrogant can get you killed...speaking of if you fail to abide by the rules you will fight Grey, and he may kill you….this time.” Instantly a worried look crossed his face, and his cocky composure vanished.

He regains it quickly saying, “Aye aye govna!” In a fake British accent and a mock salute. I begin making my way over to Nina feeling as though she may need help soon. The scrawny guy (Leo) makes his way into the circle taking off his shirt as well. As soon as it’s off Theo sneers and launches an attack aiming a punch at his abdomen. Leo is unable to dodge due to the speed, and ferocity of the strike, and doubles over only to be met with a knee to the face. He falls to the ground as Theo backs off raising his hands in a dramatic show that he isn’t touching him. I instantly dislike Theo, he may listen to Nina’s orders, but his attitude is arrogant to say the least. As soon as Leo gets to his knees he goes flying at Theo with all his might landing a nice punch to the jaw. I see Theo stagger obviously taken aback by the hit, probably not expecting Leo to actually be able to touch him. When he opens his eyes again they are black indicating his wolf has taken over. I hear Nina sigh next to me looking disappointed, and I begin to get concerned from the aura of death now surrounding Theo. I see her eyes cloud over and know she is mind-linking someone. I turn my attention back to the fight to see Theo throw a kick at Leo’s head, and stick it. Leo is down, and obviously unconscious, but Theo jumps on him and continuously hits him, not letting up. I begin getting concerned, because I know if this continues he will kill Leo.

“Theo that’s enough!” I hear an unknown voice command, and in the pit Theo froze mid strike as if hit by an invisible force. By the sound of the voice it was either a beta or gamma, and as I look for the source of the voice I find the black haired wolf who always hangs out with Nina speaking. He was sitting in the gamma seat at dinner, so I assume he is the gamma.

“Your opponent is me now, for disobeying the alpha you will be punished.” As I recall Nina’s earlier words, realization dawns on me.

So his name is Grey. I think I'm finally beginning to understand their relationship. Alphas are often very close with their betas and gammas. Grey steps forward entering the “pit” as a few wolves drag out Leo’s bloodied body to a waiting pack doctor. Nina seems almost content as Grey takes his shirt off. Thinking she is acting that way from his body I feel Niel growl, and repress him. Grey steps forward, and in an instant he has attacked Theo. His movement was too fast for me to even track. For a big muscular guy like him to be able to move at such speed is truly amazing.

“Even though Derek was born to be my beta, Grey was always the better fighter. He hates confrontation, but if required he will fight.” I am surprised by Nina’s sudden explanation, and look at her with shock, usually betas are the best fighters next to the alpha. “Theo is the third best male fighter in the pack behind Grey and Derek. Once his wolf takes over he goes on a rampage, which earned him the nickname ‘Demon of The East’. Enemies said all they could see was a mad wolf that looked like a demon before they saw someone die. It makes him a pain to deal with in training though, because once his wolf takes over one of us always has to step in before he kills someone. It’s against pack rules to kill a pack member. Just like it’s an unspoken rule you aren’t allowed to reject our mate here either.” I look at her with an alarmed expression, and she just gives me a knowing look and continues. “It isn’t a formal rule put in by me or anything, but the members take it very seriously, and if anyone rejects their mate it doesn’t matter who they are, they get shunned before they ultimately leave the pack, of course by their own choice. I never refuse a wolf, and bullying is dealt with strictly, but I cannot force people to speak when they don’t wish to.” I am still staring at her in amazement when she casually looks back up to the fight. “Grey, that's enough. I think he has learned his lesson.” She gives me another brief glance with her blank expression before turning around and walking away as if nothing happened. I look over to the fight to see Grey holding a very bloody Theo who appears unconscious. The doctor runs in the circle to quickly check his vitals, and make sure he is still breathing. His mate Tess quickly runs to his side to help him stand as Grey releases him as if he is a bother, though I don’t blame him for feeling that way. If someone hates conflict, but always has to fight because of someone I would imagine they would be very annoyed. The crowd disperses back to the pack house, and I assume training is over, until I see the brown haired wolf (the beta) run into the training hall as does Grey. Curiosity gets the better of me, so I go in. What I see I didn’t expect. I see Nina sparring with both of them at the same time. She is faster than Grey, and stronger than the beta who keeps throwing power punches. She seems to have more skill than both of them combined as she is winning. Her grace and execution were unequal to anyone I have ever seen fight before. As I looked closer I could see her mouth moving, so I decided to get a better look. I inched closer, and began to listen in.

“Theo didn’t make things any easier on me today. I’m under so much stress right now trying to be Luna, Alpha, and finals. I even had to call in help from my mate who wants to reject me. He seems to detest the very sight of me.”

“Well, to be fair he has only seen the weak you that you show everybody, and you already hold the Alpha title.” It was the beta who said this, and him saying that seemed to have her fuming.

“He doesn’t deserve to see me like this!” Nina shouts as she throws a roundhouse. “If he can’t accept me at my weakest then he doesn’t deserve me at my strongest.” She says definitely, knocking them both to the ground with a move I have never seen before. “That's the way I am with everybody, you guys know that.” She says helping them off the ground barely even breathing hard. “Sorry, it’s just that we have finals coming up at school too, and I'm under all this stress. I just need an outlet, and i’m sorry for taking it all out on you both.” With this I leave not thinking I Should hear anymore of their conversation. As I make my way back to the house I run what I just heard through my head over and over. My mate is suffering because of me, because of my rejection. I knew that I was a bad mate for even wanting to reject her, especially with how perfect she was. She wasn’t weak. She was one of the strongest people I had ever met. She was so beautiful too. I just had to protect her that’s why. Until it is safe I need to keep her away from me as much as possible, and if that means rejecting her then so be it. Somehow though I want to help her relieve some stress.

I didn’t realize I had gotten back into my own room, but when I saw the window I went to open it, and crawl out to the roof. I still needed time to think. If I help her with her alpha duties I will be put in close proximity to her, and I don’t have the best control over myself, especially when just one look from those emerald green eyes makes me want to take her right there. I could end up messing up, or making things worse. I think as I lay down on the roof looking up at the blue sky, wondering how I am going to handle everything. I shut my eyes, and think some more about how I am going to help Nina. I don’t realize it when I fall asleep, but I am woken up to a knock on the door. I quickly ran inside and opened the door without thinking to find Nina in my doorway.

Shit! I think to myself as I look around to see if she is alone.

“Uh, come in Alpha Nina” I say feeling nervous, and turned on already. She gives me a look.

“Just Nina to you please” she says with a smile that makes my knees weak as she walks into my room looking around as if it is her first time seeing things.

“Uh, what brings you here today N-Nina?” I ask nervously. She turns around to face me with a serious look on her face, and I swallow hard knowing nothing good is going to come of this.

“I came to inform you that I am going on a date tomorrow night, so I will be leaving the pack affairs in your hands for the evening.” I instantly feel a growl rip from my throat before I have a chance to stop it. “Oh hush, you were planning to reject me anyway, but it seems you are having second thoughts? Even still this is not a date like you are thinking.” she says squaring her shoulders, and looking me in the eye. “I will be going with my beta, Derek."
