    I kind of had a feeling that he would mark her since it would be the only logical way to force her to listen to him and not kill her wolf and he is deranged enough to go through with it. I'm not mad about the chapter, it is nerve- wrecking but it adds to the quality of the story. I think you should add a chapter about Scarlets past, but put a trigger warning before it so that people can choose to skip it or read it.

  • I don't mean to hang on every word but the scent is described as "familiar but foreign at the same time". I don't think it's Scarlett. Or might be he is smelling her in a new way as a mate. But it also says that he opened his eyes, so MAYBE he saw it's not Scarlett. Or maybe he is intentionally not looking. I need the new chapter to stop over analyzing.

But she if all people should have known her father would have been up to something no good.
