The war is over. The lovers are together. Most times, I would stop reading when all things are well and peaceful but this story still seems to be getting interesting even after lead characters have won a struggle.

if I remember correctly in the first part of the book , when cessi is reading to the younger brothers and she says the cessi waves to cece in the lake so it's just a guess but I would say cece was healing In the water waiting for cessi to fully heal mentally and for her to accept what had happened before she returned it's just a guess though
