How extensively does this story have to be changed??? I’ve gathered that a few of the choices in Zodiac animals have offended people, based on the comments and her KoFi post...but was there anything else in the story that warrants having to rewrite/repost, what, 50+ chapters?? In all honesty, I’m probably going to just pick up where I left off once all the chapters are reposted, so hopefully nothing too drastic changes in the earlier chapters. I do hope she keeps Dante/Italians as the Tiger. It would change the whole tone of the story otherwise...

I think Eden’s debt is to do with her mum’s care/whoever is looking after her mum. Isn’t she in a care home type place or have I totally made that up? Would explain the code speak “enough to cover a year” etc, and not wanting to tell Dante because she said her mum was dead, as well as not wanting to be in debt to Dante.

Sigh I know it’s dystopian fantasy, but it was hard to look past the animal connotation each time it came up. Rats for Vietnamese? Gorilla for blacks? Sleek tiger for Italian? In fact since it’s fantasy (and one that is so amazing and prolific)! isn’t it a chance to help break real world ingrained racism and introduce new associations? I’m impressed and appreciative that Jenny is doing this and of all people would trust her skills in creating something less racist cannon. I look forward to her magic!

I am realky sad. Jenny is ond of the most inclusive people I know always trying to convey positive messages in her stories. I am not oblivious to existing racism and discrimination, but this issie is artificial. Even from the story itself it was.clear how the names.of the Zodiacs are working amd that it's not used to describe a group of members. Yet, after concerns were raised Jenny has issued an explanation as some were still jumping on the race card. Even worse is that some are still expectinc, even after clarification, for the story to be changed. This enforced censorship is very dangerous, as everyone can find things offensive to him or her everywhere. Still, being the sensitive and inclusive being Jenny is, it's her reflecting and not the readers who made a mistake in interpretation...

these are unfounded and its unfortunate that a fuss is made over opinion. I for one have read many books by this author. She makes it a point to be open minded and equal to race and any other personal differences. In fact I find she is supportive more than anything. I love this story as well as all the others.

The story keeps mentioning that Eden ran away with her mother. How does Adam fit into the story because he is barely mentioned in terms of her escape from the Core. Also her father seemed to have centered his plans solely on Eden...I am curious to see how Jenny ties the strings together

Hopefully the readers involved and jenny are able to sort things out so that this story may continue. I dont understand the racial terms that were used because I am a little bit ignorant to some of the history of racism. But I wont ignore the fact that readers are trying to bring it to light which I think is totally reasonable. Good for you Jenny for being understanding and open minded about these things and willing to hear these people out. We all need to be this empathetic, especially with sensitive topics like this.
